I am not where I want to beA Poem by PoeticpiersStory PoemI am not where I want to be. I sit beside my favourite tree High on a bluff above the sea. My scribbling pad upon my knee. But I am lost in reverie I’m so engrossed I do not see The ships which pass in front of me. I’m looking back nostalgically At scenes etched in my memory. I can remember vividly Another place another tree But then my love you were with Enjoying the serenity But death has stolen you from me and I must wait impatiently Until death comes to set me free To leave behind my misery. The only thing that comforts me. Is my total certainty That love can last eternally. Though parted temporarily I will rejoin you happily. As soon as I can hopefully. I’ll fly to where you wait for me My soul will find yours easily. Sunday, 27 November 2011 http:// blog.myspace.com/poeticpiers © 2011 PoeticpiersReviews
