Crush

Yes, this is another one of those "lovesick puppy" kind of poems. I'd like to think that they get better as I get older (but I wrote this in early high school).

You've caused me to feel things,
I've rarely felt before
Once I noticed these things,
I saw a door that was closed before
I don't know how you did it,
It was love my soul wanted to emit
You might be near,
But you feel so far
To my eye it brings a tear,
And through my heart I feel a bar
You don't know what you did for me,
I feel as though I've climbed like's tree
I have much to say,
And much to pray
I'll have to wait another day
Just know that you are in my heart,
I wish to hold you tight
This feeling is impossible to fight
