Who I've Become

A summary of my changes as a person

I've changed as a person

But who have I become?

The loyal friend of my days past

Or the selfish roots I'm from

My head buzzes every day

Swarming with desire

As my goals and decisions change

I reach higher and higher

I do so alone

With cheers from below

They all shout at me

Encouraging me to go

Who am I becoming?

Who have I been?

I pray everyday

To be absolved of my sin

I hope where I go

Will show me the way

Because who I've become

Is not here to stay
