Written 7/1/14 about what family is supposed to be and what it really is

Family is where you can be yourself

Where you get support

Where you go to relax

And share a burden

Family is where you come together

You share a common bond

An unbreakable chain

Forged in blood

In family you're not fake

You're not selfish

I love my family

But it doesn't act like a family

It is sad seeing families not acting like a loving family, it takes work on everyone's part in order for a family to be similar to this. People are never going to be perfect so there is always going to be some type of struggle, but family should be a place where you feel safe and you feel comfortable sharing thoughts and feelings. Sometimes friends can act as a family when the actual family does not also.
