Closet

I HATE the closet!

It's dark in here

I can see anything

I don't know what's real

I want to see the light

But I don't know what it will show me

I'm afraid

What will I see?

Someone guide me out

Give me a reason to leave it

Show me what's better

Show me to the freedom to be myself

N one wants to be in the closet

It's all we've known

It's secure

But it's suffocating

There is no fresh air

Only what we already have

It's toxic

Slowly killing us from the inside out

I want to be a new me

I need that risk

To see if that's what does it

Someone...I need to get out of this closet
