Reverse the Frown

Written on 7/8 as a sort of pick-me-up

Sometimes life ain't easy

Your heart gets broken

And your palms get greasy

There are shortcuts you want to take

Shortcomings you want to fake

As successes so that people can't see

That you failed in your journey that day

But is it really a failure at all?

You can learn to walk

Unless you're willing to fall

I know that life can get you down

But there are times in between

That reveal their worth

So just remember to reverse that frown
