Haunting Memories

The tears on my pillow prevent me from my sleep

The potential sweet dreams

Drowned in the endless pool of salty tear drops

Remembering only when I wish I could forget

If only the darkness of the night could swallow me whole

But even when it does

It has a way of bringing the memories to me

Even in the deepest sleep

Drowing in the endless well of salty tear drops

Preventing me from what I want most

An endless night of sugar plums and sweets

As long as the tears keep running;

Endless down my cheeks

And flooding the sweet dreams

I will never forget

No matter how much I want to

Even in my dreams...
