On Love, Forever, and the LikeA Story by Clarisse NanoitJust thinking out loud. It's not too hard to see to the bottom of the muddy water, but maybe I'll never touch it. There's just no way of knowing. I think it's up to me to at least try, though.Love is not a ticket to Forever; it is merely a driving force to get one there. For Forever is not a period of time, it is a destination, a journey. I never claimed to be an expert on love, or a qualified judge of its authenticity, but doesn't it seem that if one has it, they'd been willing to do just about anything to make it to Forever? Where does going the distance for what you want cross into being irresponsible, into making foolish decisions? I have often heard that love is blind, that only fools and believers fall in love, that love makes you do things you'd never consider doing otherwise. So where are the limits? Are there limits? Why do some people who claim to have real love move countries away, leaving all they've known behind to be with their Forever Loves and others say, "Well, it was fun while it lasted. I'll miss you. If things were only different, perhaps we could have worked out." I conclude, my friend, that love is relative, just like color, just like time. The only question is, do you concur? © 2010 Clarisse NanoitAuthor's Note
