Insomnia ( I have a bone to pick with the sandman)

Insomnia ( I have a bone to pick with the sandman)

A Poem by poison&kerosene

I waited up all night for you
At first it was a faint whisper
Then it became more audible
Next thing I know I'm desperate
I cried out to you all night
But it fell upon deaf ears
I don't know if you're stubborn
Or if you play favorites
Maybe you really didn't hear me
Or maybe you're protecting me
All I do know is that I'm awake
I've had bloodshot eyes years now
I want to join in with everyone
Go on a nightly adventures unlocking
The gateway to my subconscious
But for some weird reason
It seems I am not worthy for this
You've neglected me far too long
One day I will capture you
And every last sweet dream
Will be exclusively my possession
Until then I will lay in bed
screaming desperately for release
