What Lies Beneath

What Lies Beneath

A Poem by poison&kerosene

What makes a person beautiful is not their structure
You won't find it in the shape of their lips
The color of their eyes
Or the shape of their body

Physical beauty is a facade at times
Substance can lack beneath porcelain skin
Beneath sparkling doe eyes
and beneath pink rosy lips

What a person can unlock inside
to me is true beauty in itself
A person full of depth and spirit
A person full of knowledge and life

Attraction starts off with a smile
but remains with the words you speak
Are you just going to smile forever?
You'r attraction will surely fade

Speak words of wisdom from rosy lips
and view the world happily through doe eyes
Touch the lives of others with porcelain skin
And unlock the true beauty inside of you
