Simply Breathing.

Simply Breathing.

A Poem by poison&kerosene

Wrapped in a petticoat
cheeks flushed from cold
She walked down the street
In the glistening night snow.

maybe it was ten or nine
And she was all alone
But she just wasn't scared
the only emotion she'd known.

Abandoned all her tears
and smiled up at the sky
She felt like she could float
so she closed her eyes and tried.

This true simplistic beauty
The kind not man made
She never knew how to live
Until that snowy day.

I really like how down to earth this poem is. It tells a good story of acceptance and moving on, and the words flow smoothly. But definitely a job well done
