Shot Down

I tried to learn and tried to teach

But you won't absorb anything I speak

You're cold to the touch

From the inside and out

 

I can only sacrifice so much

Before you take everything I have

You're draining my life from me

And that i let you is sickening

 

I tuck away all of my sorrows

So I can show you you're okay

But instead of letting me help you

You shove it all in my face

 

So leaving me was all for the best?

But no matter if I'm near or far you're a mess

So I'll try to stomach this awful defeat

People like you will never change.
