Life of the Party

Life of the Party

A Poem by poison&kerosene

I haven't eaten a thing today
I know this night won't go my way
A shot of whiskey and a bit of rum
And I hope you are all having fun

We dance to music we don't like
As we pour some juice set to spike
I start to sway and lose control
Boy, this liquor took it's toll

It's much too cold but I feel heat
Who knew poison tastes so sweet?
Fatigued and weak but I raise my glass
As I try to maintain a level of class

I throw it all up and get back out
Disregard safety and healthy doubt
And I won't stop till I see the sun
A party girl's job is never done
