Juvenescence

Juvenescence

A Poem by Poetic Nuance
"

Ah! for those days gone past...

"

I watch her go from my window sill,
Swaying like the Daffodil,
A playful wind tousles her curls,
And surrounds her in frisky swirls,
She pauses once and slowly turns,
Knowing how my heart still yearns,
A beckoning look as the world goes still,
With melancholy does my whole heart fill,
For heady was her potent hug,
All torment gone in a careless shrug,
A steely face and smiling heart,
All strife in whose wake would part,
And go with her I surely would,
Spend time with her, if I only could,
But far too gone is the biting truth,
Oh! goodbye to my golden youth.
