my dream is simple
and straightforward
it's a warm woman on
a nasty night

it's you
lying next to me
your head nicely heavy
on my chest

your beating heart
a valentine tattoo
on my mind

your tongue
a precocious tease
my n*****s rise in protest

your skin in afterglow
attaches to mine like honey

so i dream
a simple dream

your eyes touching
mine with a knowing
wink as you gently
whisper
"yes, i'm here to stay"
