Short, sweet and with a smile and much truth in your words. Music can reach the parts that words can't reach. Can certainly stir a whole range of emotions. One of my favourite classical pieces is A Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams. When that plays I become the lark. I am lost in the thermals :)

Knowing (& loving) your tendency to go "on & on" in a poem is one reason I feel startled & delighted to see you writing shorter poems lately. This might be the culmination of your short poem odyssey. Here you sum it up beautifully & also you pick a point that's indisputable. indeed, i have been experimenting with shorter pieces (you have to choose your words more selectively). thanks for sharing your love of music margie - the universal language. i can't help but think of the song by steppenwolf - 'born to be wild' as i read your review and which i'm sure you've listened to many times and i'm even inclined to believe you've lived. praying the wildfires didn't effect you in any way ... :)

No fires around here. Big 2016 fire burned off all the fuel around here, so I don't worry about fires anymore until the wilderness grows back!

yes for most music is harmonious except rap crap and techno.

thanks andrew. yes, what some people call music amazes me but to each his own. different strokes for different folks - whatever floats your boat. i'm not crazy about rap - especially the ones with swears in them ... :)
