Hearing Aid

Hearing Aid

A Poem by Pete
"

When I hear music, I fear no danger. I am invulnerable. - Thoreau

"

in my irreproachable youth
i found a compass in music
  flying, nimble fingers
   the pounding drums
    clashing symbols
     eclectic, electric twangers of euphony
with their finely tuned, lip-smacking strings of ambrosia
an extension of my poignant, pliable, pulsating phallus
        hypnotizing
         mesmerizing
          synthesizing
           energizing

now ever day is summer
 wondrous wailing never failing
jammin' and rockin' 'til my dying die
two plus two adding up to a gazillion
always center stage like a rattlepated, rallentando reptilian
alluvial air guitaring floating in perpetuity
      eternal, sanctified serenity
       apostolic anthems accompanying ascending allegiance
        strobed, silhouetted songs
         capitulating cadence
          scales climbing into the stratosphere
           owning me
            translating existence
             articulaing bass, treble and clef

lifting up my telescoped hands and thanking heaven that

            my sublime soul isn't deaf

Pete
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." - Thoreau

I think we all would
do well to. dance to
and feel the beat of
our drummer to the
day we die..our hearing
may dim with age but
the music is as loud
as ever in our souls
keep rocking it

nice work Pete
