Nothing changes until there is a clean slate and our own hearts change. No matter who is "in charge" in human form, patterns repeat unless we ourselves choose to break them. Nothing changes from red to blue or whichever. Can you imagine if right now today we all unlearned horrible habits and beliefs and created new kind ones where we needed to? Real change would happen. I love the choice of song with your poem and reading the poem itself. You always make the wheels in my head turn...But I did enjoy the noise yesterday. Have a happy, happy week!

i wrote this quickly last night when i got tired of watching people acting crazy on the news after it was announced that biden was the winner. people will use any excuse to take to the streets, let loose and act silly. no one knows what changes are coming, only that the person in the oval office will be someone else. i get so sick and tired of hearing political speeches of pie in the sky, empty promises - words backed by nothing. they tell people what they want to hear. we keep sending different people into the same broken system expecting different results. all they do is bicker and fight. the most telling thing to me is that the country is split down the middle on what it should be. that's what spurred this write. in full agreement with your thoughts - nothing will change until we change - therein lies the real problem. real change takes place inside of us.

My cousin is a politician in Ohio and he won his second term this week and I'm so proud of him. Outside of that, I don't watch anything political let alone engaging others in conversation. People get nuts and heated! And I'm wondering all for what? I don't get it. My personal life never changes no matter who lives in a big white house. All I could think about yesterday is that more covid is being spread in my city...I stayed in my PJ's and in my house yesterday lol. I definitely get it though...

yes, exactly, we're all stuck inside with nowhere to go wearing masks. everyone is afraid. i don't get what there is to celebrate. so many businesses have folded and people lost their jobs. china probably sent that virus here on purpose because they don't like us. it just goes on and on. i try not to get too emotionally involved. i just do my own thing and try jot to worry. it all makes for good entertainment though whilst we're stuck inside ... :)

thanks fran. yes, the song seemed appropriate about being dividend on the state of affairs much like we are now. i just tired of people acting silly in the streets and empty-promise speeches. didn't someone once say, "the more things change, the more they stay the same" ... :)
