FreefallingA Poem by PeteWhen the leaves fall, the whole earth is a cemetery pleasant to walk in. - Thoreaububbling, bold, bountiful and beautiful the stars sparkled blamelessly with the effervescence of angels in the carbonation of an eternal creed along with depthless devotion under the watchful eye of a majestic moon providing the perfect backdrop for drifting innocence below dabbed with the palette of hues from an impressionist master like vagabond paratroopers trusting god to pull the ripcord at just the right time autumnal leaves parachuted stealthily down to the waiting ground below the last lingering guests of an unforgettable, raucous soiree sliding into seasonal provision like giddy children gliding 'cross a hardwood floor in pajamas with feet exhausted with warm memories their spent canopies of summer shade curling upwards lying down 'pon a gilded bed of happenstance calling sprawling forever freefalling © 2020 PeteAuthor's Note
