V1 reminds me of working all my life, living in population centers becuz that's where the jobs were, but always dreaming of spending the rest of my life in a wild place. I'm so content & amazed my escape has been realized for the last 10 years. V2 reminds me of how I feel the world "out there" has become so infected since my escape, I never long to return. they don't call it the rat race for nothing. i spent the better part of my life trying to conform to a sick society - it never felt right on the inside although on the outside it looked like i was happy. thoreau had it right long ago. man's progress and society is a curse. i'll take the woods over a concrete jungle any day ... :)

thanks for relating andrew. i'm afraid to turn on the tv, especially the news. i guess that's why i mostly watch old movies and sitcoms and listen to music. i walk down to the park by the water every day to get away from everything and have some peace ... :)
