Tribulation

Tribulation

A Poem by Pete
"

Who hears the fishes when they cry? - Thoreau

"
Haemolacria: A Rare Condition That Makes People Cry Blood | Mental Floss

no one sees the effrontery of pain

no one knows their names
no one opens the door when they make their jehovah call
no one

they only listen to the dauntless dead of night
the conspicuous tutelage of life

the bearer of pall

with all of it's unmitigated gall

Pete
“Then at night the general stillness is more impressive than any sound, but occasionally you hear the note of an owl farther or nearer in the woods, and if near a lake, the semihuman cry of the loons at their unearthly revels.” - Thoreau
