unequivocal
shouting next to me
pivotal
whispering from a mile away
measure tip to tip my outstretched arms
a whirling dervish of time
subject to sway
all we have is the spin of today

the rotation of yesterday is gone
it sleeps in the hall closet
on a plastic hanger
pay no attention to its worn grooves

it behooves
