It's amazing how much "glue factory" evokes in almost everyone's minds & this is what it means to pick an analogy that hums so you don't have to write as much. At this time, when life feels so topsy-turvy for most, and with the covid death totals being rather staggering, it's hard not to feel we're all on our way to the glue factory sooner rather than later! I thing "The Race to the Glue Factory" may be synonymous with "The Rat Race." Still, though, if we keep our minds free of a glue factory mentality, we deny it the best part of us.

i think we have many riders ....life, pain, heartache...but then some races we win...and there is some happy...the winner's circle...love, the roses...

excellent point. there is a flip side to everything. forgot that every race has a winner and that winner's circle is oh so sweet and those roses - there's always time to stop and smell the roses. if i'm not mistaken the kentucky derby was cancelled this year - the mint juleps and the ladies with their big wide hats ... :)
