Some great and memorable lines here Pete. Licked the lips of rain is one of them, another is swiped the credit card of defrayal. January 1st, the anniversary of the execution of Charles 1st. A period in time when there wasn't a monarchy in England. Restored though a decade or so later. A powerful write you have penned here my friend.
