communicating what you unequivocally mean

you labor to find just the right word

but nothing's so eloquent

so expressive

so unambiguous

so satisfying

as flipping them the bird

Using "middle ground" and "middle finger" is brilliant mindplay, a strong genesis for your message, which is well-crafted. I am about as jaded as what your poem expresses, with regards to making myself understood in today's fomenting clamor. yes, as i get older i get tired of talking to people about nothing. lifting a finger takes a lot less energy without filling me head with a bunch of nonsense ... :)

Have to admit, half a peace sign does lay the cards on the table. On the other hand, I have a friend who nearly triggered an incident of road rage by communicating in just this manner.

lol. there's just no mistaking its message. funny you mention road rage because of course driving in the car is where i most often see others do it but not me of course ... :)
