Solar GlowA Poem by PeteWhat fire could ever equal the sunshine of a winter's day? - Thoreauon a heatless, heartless december day i saw an ardent sun its rays were like the cables of a bridge the shiny steps of an escalator they glinted and hinted so i squinted to take in as many of them as i could to bask in as many as i should i saw a tiny, spherical rainbow reflected in the corner of my eye or maybe it was a stye i'm not really sure but it was staring back at me with an impeccable intensity daring me flaring me ensnaring me i needed to go up to ascend to no longer pretend no need to condescend to get a better look to fully experience its lucent nook to see what my blindness took its creator i sought to know but alas i got lost in its burning glow at least now my faith can grow it's mine wherever i go even though its maker was a no-show or was he © 2021 PeteAuthor's Note
