This is exactly where I'm trying to be with my Buddhism studies. Fighting off or rejecting or having a reaction to whatever we perceive as negative in life is the problem, not that the object of our annoyance exists. My mantra: I'm okay with what happens. i've only been "real" camping twice. drinking out of streams and bathing in them, cooking over a fire etc. hiked a mountain once. there's always a flip side to everything. perhaps the laughing and crying stuff was meant to shape who we are. we decide which will reign supreme but no so easy to control emotions. happiness and perseverance are underrated ... :)
