doesn't pluck the petals of flowers

can't stop to smell the roses

won't marry me

i'm tied up in a she loves me knot

The trend that I see in my old age is that men tend to be less able to handle being alone while women are more eager to be alone. I read this trend into your poem. Maybe that's why many older men who find themselves alone will dip down into the younger age brackets where hopeful idealistic younger women still believe in dandelions (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

hmm. that's very interesting. i've been running into a lot of women who are looking for a sugar daddy and guys who just want a piece of eye candy or a live blow-up doll. i think both men and women are equally desiring to be alone or with someone. maybe that's why there's prostitution and viagra (you pay them to get lost afterwards) ... :)
