i breathe the gelid nip of this hibernating season
bombarding it with my foolhardy questions

i listen intently behind a slumbering, cold shoulder

carried 'pon the back of a stealth, blue breeze comes a latent response
in the whirlwind of taciturn time

since when does creation need a reason
