Nivation

Nivation

A Poem by Pete
"

They were pleasant spring days, in which the winter of man's discontent was thawing as well as the earth, and the life that had lain torpid began to stretch itself. - Thoreau

"
Protect your home from damage caused by melting snow

an unforsaken veil has been lifted
march is wuthering and the snow is liquescent
revealing all that was coalesced and hidden
all that has been forgotten
all that is begotten

inertia beaten and burned
the licked thumb and forefinger of a biblical page turned
another season of faith earned
time to put away the afghan of contraception
a gelid age of a stagnant existence exhausted

god's refrigerator defrosted

Pete
"As every season seems best to us in its turn, so the coming in of spring is like the creation of Cosmos out of Chaos and the realization of the Golden Age." - Thoreau
