it had been well over a year

many of us were now vaccinated

the spread of covid was in remission

at least for the time being

i was my usual dapper, debonair self

finally

i could flaunt my face again

so i took off my mask

letting down my guard

everyone ran away screaming

Fact is, we spend much of our lives behind masks and keeping our guard up. Problem is, when we let our guard down, we often allow more than a horrid little bug to get in.

Must say though, 'tis rather nice to people smiling once again.

i can see that you get it. is ironic how we were forced to wear masks due to some microscopic organism when we hide behind them due to so many other unseen reasons. thanks for sharing beccy ... :)

ouch....yes, for some, the hiding was better.

it is pretty weird now seeing so many walking around without masks...now we can see expressions again.

it was strange having to wear the masks and now that we've gotten used to them we can take them off in certain situations. no one likes wearing them but i'm wondering if they are a mixed blessing in society - kind of like scarlet letters ... :)

Fauci was right to recommend masks. In some cases, bags would have been in order.
