“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” - Thoreau

You are really amazing, totally amazing dear Pete! a marvelous witty writer, your style is the same BUT the brilliance is only more, I wish to stop repeating myself in my style and give something new through my poetry, so please apology while I am getting jealous from You as You are repeating your style AND giving something new, to start with, choosing a woman with high heels is alone magnificent and shows how smart You are, how many times a woman walk in these high heels before she can walk lofty, proudly with no fear?! it's not easy to do so with a high heels maybe You should try it sometime to see how it is ;) and so is living, we fall and we rise only to keep walking our way up, up here on earth and up to heavens. stunning piece my ever talented friend.

KIller heels. They aren't called that for nothing. You have to be mighty brave to parade around in those at such a height. I mean you can be easily seen, not much to hide is there? Never tried them. Far too scared to fall flat on my face or arxe over head:) I belong to a flat heels society ha ha. Great poem Pete.

well done says i! .. what poetry is supposed to be! short, sweet and sour and very poignant .. sound wisdom .. all rolled up in fishnets and stiletto heels .. i grew up in upstate NY .. Genesee beer was one of the big ones .. their rep. for many years was the Genesee Girl .. i fell in love with her ... it was advertised she would be at the State Fair one year and i was right there to see her .. front center stage .. i could see the runs in her black fish net stockings .. and the too much makeup on her face .. at 8 or 90 yrs old i felt a profound sadness on her behalf .. one i didn't really understand .. but my love wilted after that .. she was, after all, only human ;{ ... real fine poem sir! great wisdom within .. "that's just how it is" ... killer line for me!

I like this a lot, Pete.
Being fake and just presenting appearance does not do it for a person's insides.
Life has to be lived in the trenches, and we can't be afraid to get down and dirty.

I love reading, writing, music, nature, God and feeling emotion, not necessarily in that order. To me, these things go hand in hand. My favorite writer is Henry David Thoreau. I think he was a geni.. more..
