"And now that we have returned to the desultory life of the plain, let us endeavor to import a little of that mountain grandeur into it. We will remember within what walls we lie, and understand that this level life too has its summit, and why from the mountain-top the deepest valleys have a tinge of blue; that there is elevation in every hour, as no part of the earth is so low that the heavens may not be seen from, and we have only to stand on the summit of our hour to command an uninterrupted horizon." - Thoreau

dear Pete, I came across your poem two days ago but I didn't leave my print, the first thing that I was taken by how your description sentence somehow like a thought I written in a poem and also a one I am using in my new poem which I am still in struggling to write.
many forget their essence, their hear and true soul in the hectic and mess of the physical world, yet You don't need to go outside to the nature to reconnect with the home above, You can do it everywhere as long as You are opened, willing and wanting to, again such joy is to read your inspiring poems the magnificent about them that You write about normal things in life but You reach through them to the higher being.
