clinging in desperation to a fading faith
with my face pressed against the glass
i want to see everything
every step of life's dance
down to the last minute detail
every torn fiber
every frayed thread
i want to taste passion's moist saliva
run my fingers through the perennial hair of lady godiva

i feel a sense of manic urgency
time is slipping
slipping away
i want to know love again
the thrill of the hunt
souls joined in the synergy of mutual caring and affection
i want someone else's hand in mine
i want to strut in the clouds and sing to the sun
i want to be in someone else's heart and head

quickly

before i'm withered and dead
