No Apology

The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable. - James A, Garfield

i've always known the truth
it's hovers over me along with all of it's crowded, overbearing meanings and implications
i rarely invite it in though
i've no interest in it
no room for it

instead i'm ruled by feelings and emotions
along with music and faith that there's something better
trips to the park down by the inlet
the glistening sea
the listening sun
the drawing moon
the stilted trees
the bending, cushioning grass
and the colors
oh the glorious colors
talking to god
it's who i am
and for that
i will never

ever

apologize

No never apologise
I agree

I find myself saying it less these days
It used to be on the end of my sentences
Like sorry for breathing

Beautiful artwork
Enjoyed your simple pleasures you described
They are the best
Simple life pleasure

One should never apologize for traits that define their humanity. If they are true to them and live those virtues than it is to be respected and admired regardless of beliefs. Thank you Pete for sharing your poem with us.
