Raging Calm

Raging Calm

A Poem by Pete
"

The spring advances in spite of snow and ice, and cold even. - Thoreau

unblemished
garbed in the blanche gabardine of virgin sanctity and purity
snowflakes pirouette outside on my window sill
swaying to the aria of god's very breath
his own drawn lace curtain

i sit by the hearth
wrapped in undeniable, permeating truth
safe in yet another wintery psalm
hugging the stillness

during the storm's raging calm
