Hey Pete, have to admit I understand here somewhat - I'm feeling pretty distraught myself and can sympathize with what you've written.
The latter quote, too, strikes a certain chord. Not really sure what kind of bird I am but it's nice to think that there are day owls out there. :)

Oh, how I register this. I also am asthmatic so double the score. An excellent, descriptive moment of, as you say despair. Frustration and yet empathy coming to battle. Which wins?

Powerful brevity Pete, to describe how many feel in the current climate. I play Vaughan Williams, The Lark Ascending, that helps me to escape.

I love reading, writing, music, nature, God and feeling emotion, not necessarily in that order. To me, these things go hand in hand. My favorite writer is Henry David Thoreau. I think he was a geni.. more..
