far-off in the closing distance

in a dire matter of life, death and balanced existence

i heard the sound of ethereal, soulful music being ushered upon the aching backs of slices of a dying breeze

making its way between the still naked, gingered trees

chanting  undeniable, radical truth

introduced in reckless youth but married long in the tooth

a magic carpet of mahavishnu

floating above all that slithering serpents in peep-hole gardens feign to say and do

Some look through peep holes, other look through windows. We have to venture outside ourselves sometimes to experience things. We can grow physically and spiritually with many ways. I have questioned, researched and experienced good things with avoiding evil things per God and His commandments. They are all for our own good and not for a burden.

thank you. indeed. well it is about rising above this world, not letting it drag us down and protecting our soul's integrity based upon a higher power and truth. i've both had and lost much and looked death squarely in the eyes. faith in a living, loving god is my anchor. i like to think that i know what is important. i've learned by trial that faith and truth are the only things that can't be taken from us. truth may be debated with others but not my faith - that is non-negotiable ... :)

I agree and echo your life experiences. I'm experienced enough to know I am not the captain of my own destiny. But I trust the Captain because I have no doubt that His guidance will take me safely to my destination.

i know unequivocally that i can trust the captain. he is in charge not me although i sometimes try to be and need to be knocked down in order to get back on the course he has laid ... :)
