Sadly people who are broken by events find themselves in circumstances where their expectations of life aren't high. It takes immense courage to rise above it all. It can be done, but it is an exception rather than the norm. A very meaningful piece of brevity Pete.

I think it's a cop out when folk from broken homes blame all on their upbringing, you've got to have an inner wish, determination to change your future, to make a better life than the one you had.

an unfortunate, sad truth. what are we to do but try to accept the unacceptable. life can be cruel and unfair. thanks for checking in e. joe satriani is a guitar virtuoso in every sense of the word (surprised you've never heard of him before). he is right up there with carlos. peace brother and keep listening to the beautiful music that speaks volumes... :)

you speak an unfortunate truth. the beauty and miracle is when we can rise above such things and shine a light - that takes courage, faith and strength of character. difficult sure but not impossible ...:)

I think it is hard to expect many things from broken people. They went through lots in life and were trampled upon. Lots of them out there.
I think you have a deep message here.
