Mouth To Mouth

Mouth To Mouth

A Poem by Pete
"

A single gentle rain makes the grass many shades greener. - Thoreau

i have much respect for brown terrain
it's just trying to survive in a lack of rain
holding high it's parched, drooping head
stashing gold whilst brandishing lead
unknowing folks passing by

wrongly thinking it dead

Author's Note

Pete
"The gentle rain which waters my beans and keeps me in the house today is not drear and melancholy, but good for me too. Though it prevents my hoeing them, it is of far more worth than my hoeing. If it should continue so long as to cause the seeds to rot in the ground and destroy the potatoes in the low lands, it would still be good for the grass on the uplands, and, being good for the grass, would be good for me, too." - Thoreau

A little bit of anything can make magic, specially after long time of lack. give it then one drop, and see how the taste is different, the flavor is richer, the value is higher. give too much and at once, the flavor and the value is lost. no relishing for anything. Patience always ends with gifts, so these brown terrain, they know this virtue, and they know their own essences, and people need to learn how to see the essence not the body. great piece, great wisdom.
