Aloft

Aloft

A Poem by Pete
"

Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves. - Thoreau

"
Kite Flying Festival In India - Discover India with India Someday Travels

speculative and restless
always rising to a slender dawn
infused hither and yon
bottomless and sublime
cutting and crude
blown and flown by a still beating heart

tried and convicted by the greedy, hubris of hurled currents
elicited emotions aflare
soaring and diving
take my string
don't lead me astray
not upon this or any other windy day

I wonder dear Pete, when You wrote this were You thinking and feeling the same as I am reading it now? how come in these short lines You speak volumes to my mind, of my thoughts... speaking on that deep level, with that higher feeling.

Two parts what I see here. the first is about that higher inner being, that knows no bottom nor height, a sublime soul who knows how to always be aloft, always find the way home, always growing and blooming... then comes the next part, You see, this three dimension world, these sucker people who feed on that soul... what can lead to being lost. yet, on another hand, as the saying goes (lost to be found) some people need to be lost in order to find the truth. while other just born within inside them and their job is to keep it safe through this life journey. never an easy task. I find my self getting emotional over this one Pete, and I again I bow to your ability with genuine admiration.
