asleep in consciousness
awakened to a dream
prisoner of freedom
walking an uneven balance beam

warm breath in a cold world like falling steam
top to bottom like curdled cream
things aren't as they seem
maybe someday you'll know what i mean
kissing without a tongue
nothing is ever done
