And So It SnowedA Poem by PeteWe discover a new world every time we see the earth again after it has been covered for a season with snow. - Thoreaueverything newly covered with a sacred aura yet strangely untouched the embrace and blessing of such a new day nearly too much awoke this morning to a bleached, gabardine blanket of winter's cottontime remembered and sins forgotten
statuesque pines of undeniable precision majestically standing guard like truth's knitting needles the nearby river shivering yet steady and comfortable in a righteous, preordained course the master of the house is about but not at home i am unworthy to don such garb but in wide-eyed wonder am hardly alone newly born tears of amazement in aging eyes and bewilderment in a probing heart birds in audience witnesses of yet another miracle their joyous chirps boldly proclaiming, staunchly lyrical soulfully undeniable faithful and telling above all spiritually compelling as flakes glistened whilst a piece of heaven with halos glowed the wisdom and splendor in a glimpse of eternity showed ... and so it snowed © 2023 PeteAuthor's Note
