Crawl Space

Crawl Space

A Poem by Pete

Watch your head in the basement crawl space!

insulated
deep in the recessed catacombs of an irreconcilable
 mind
up a rickety ladder
down a war-torn path
behind dust, cobwebs and unmarked boxes
where slumbering dogs of denial were suddenly awakened
echoing in eternity
a diffident voice could be heard to say,
"i forgive you"
