Eternity Doesn't Easily Forget

A Poem by Pete

that hot summer night when walls came tumbling down
smoke rings 'round our heads like halos
tossed cigarettes smoldering at our feet
flirting with destiny

we kissed whilst time stood still
hearts dancing to their own beat
the best not even fathomed yet
assured in knowing that eternity doesn't easily forget
