Floetry

Good poetry seems so simple and natural a thing that when we meet it we wonder that all men are not always poets. Poetry is nothing but healthy speech. - Thoreau

whilst allusions tease

couplets beg pardon down upon their knees

hyperbole covers its mouth to sneeze

metaphors and meter buzz like bees

verses float in the breeze

couplets steeped like teas

green alliteration rolls like peas

assonance of varying degrees

rhymes press and squeeze

blessing with the sign of threes

lovely like trees

to the soul it does speak and appease
