Did You Hear Something?

Did You Hear Something?

God's voice is but a clear bell sound. - Thoreau

The Voices in My Head” | Pathwork

i hear the chatter
voices inside of my head
rasp pitter patter

Author's Note

Pete
"A thrumming of piano-strings beyond the gardens and through the elms. At length the melody steals into my being. I know not when it began to occupy me. By some fortunate coincidence of thought or circumstance I am attuned to the universe, I am fitted to hear, my being moves in a sphere of melody, my fancy and imagination are excited to an inconceivable degree. This is no longer the dull earth on which I stood." - Thoreau

What you see with your own eyes is meaningful to me. Seeing is believing. The voices and the chatter are of little significance. Wonderful words Pete.

thanks chris. you're a tough cookie.
this haunting haiku about the thoughts that do not leave us alone was superbly written. the last line was a fast powerful swing. i suffer from psychosis, so this was especially chilling for me. it was evocative and twisted my heart around.
