Days And ConfusedA Poem by PeteIt's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.sometimes if i stare i can see atoms and molecules in the air breakdancing and riding bumper cars all kindled, staticky and charged as i turn my attention to a litter of stars or moldy, green cheese orbiting and stretching all the way to mars sitting crooked on a stool, waiting for last call at bars floating in the trevi fountain as i wait for the elevator on a matterhorn mountain my shelf tilting with a collection of fermented urine in dark, labeled, jars matter's not mine, it's ours even if it spars with steel, nickel and bronze stringed guitars
