How Sweet It Is

How Sweet It Is

A Poem by Pete
"

How sweet is the perception of a new natural fact! - Thoreau

"
Candy Corn Acres at Disney's California ...

under a lemonade sun
beneath a licorice parasol

i want to wander through candy corn fields
basking in a confection of sugary innocence
tasting cloying glory

a place where all fingers shine with diamond rings
as untold elation takes center stage and sings
whilst heaven's angels dance our strings

Pete. First, I really Liked the song you chose....it was definitely "happy " one; and you words match perfectly...I could see his as a dream too...it shows us that there is some glory in this tough world we live in.."basking in a confection of innocence"....love that line....thanks for sharing!

I do hope heaven has childish wonder to it. This sounds like an amazing interpretation of it
