In a great leap of faith, Physicists believe in "dark matter" when the only evidence they have is math... A LOT of math, but it is no less a great leap to believe in God.
In my home universe, things make sense, not so much in this one... I just want to go home... please...

scientists talk about the big bang. the bible says that god spoke the world into existence. why couldn't the big bang be him speaking it?

Of course... But then, I read an article the other day that might just debunk The Big Bang... The thing is as humans we have no means to measure the stuff of existence that is not physical... I want to lose my eyes and invent a anthropomorphic God looking around at all that "nothing," checking all the parameters and then gets this serious look on hje face, spreads His arms and says BANG! And nothing has been the same ever since.
